Professor Edgardo Menendez, MD, FIFEM
Graduated as Medical Physician in 1987 from Buenos Aires University and he is Professor in Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine Specialist.
In 2012 he was awarded as Fellow International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM)
At present, he is the Director of Emergency Department and the Director of Emergency Medicine Resident Program at Churruca Hospital affiliated to Buenos Aires University and he is an Associate Physician in Intensive Care Service at Italian Hospital of Buenos Aires.
Currently, he is the Director of Post-graduate School of Emergency Medicine at Buenos Aires University and is the Director of Specialist Career in Emergency Medicine at Emergency Argentine Society (SAE)
He has a very active participation in the SAE as Founder Member, President (2008-10), Editorial Board Member of the Book "Emergency" of SAE, he is currently the Secretary of the International Relations and the Director of the Airway Committee.
He was given the Amin Kazzi International Emergency Medicine Leadership awarded by American Academic of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) 2017.
He is International Editor of EB Emergency Medicine Practice
He has worked for the development of Emergency Medicine as IFEM Board Member and Representative of Central and South America from 2012 to date. He is the President of the Latin American Federation of Emergency Medicine (FLAME) and Chair of the Scientific Committee of ICEM 2020 in Buenos Aires.
