Interfacility transfer is an often-overlooked aspect of the health system. We will discuss the complexities of interfacility transfer, challenges to consider, and the broader health system considerations. Dr. Tenner is the Co-Director for the UCSF WHO Collaborating Centre for Emergency and Trauma Care and has extensive experience working both with the WHO and in multiple countries to strengthen emergency care systems. Her focus is improving system resiliency for both everyday emergencies as well as surge events.
