Fluid Management Is Sepsis; When Have I Given Enough?
1Emergency Department, TBD, Canada
Sepsis management continues to evolve, and the use of crystalloid is one of the most important and challenging parts of sepsis management in the emergency department. Overuse of crystalloid does cause morbidity and we need to be able to tailor our use of crystalloid to the needs of the individual patient. We will review the bedside and lab markers that can be used to guide the safe and effective use of crystalloid in the septic patient.
