Myths in Pediatric Emergency Medicine

This brief presentation emphasizes the changing nature of 'truth' in medicine, with a buffet of recent myths in pediatric emergency practice. Topics include use of radiology and laboratory testing, critical care, trauma and concussion, and common infections (bronchiolitis, appendicitis, and pneumonia). Clinicians will gain insight into the continuous change which occurs in knowledge and practice.
